MOSCOW, Jan 16 (PRIME) -- Extension of the Russian maternity capital program proposed by President Vladimir Putin will result in an additional demand for 6 million square meters of housing per year, national housing development institution DOM.RF said in a statement on Thursday.
“These measures will have a positive influence on the demographic situation and development of the housing market in Russia. According to calculations of DOM.RF, the novelty will affect about 1.3 million Russian families,” he said.
Putin prolonged on Wednesday the maternity capital program until the end of 2026.
